Encyro Successfully Completes HIPAA Compliance Audit

Encyro Inc is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed an audit of its data security and privacy practices by Compliancy Group, an independent third-party, to verify Encyro’s compliance with all federally mandated and necessary regulatory standards outlined in the HIPAA Privacy Rule, HIPAA Security Rule, HIPAA Breach Notification Rule, HIPAA Omnibus Rule, and HITECH.

While Encyro had been HIPAA compliant even before the audit, this newly completed verification adds an additional layer of trust and confidence in Encyro’s ability to provide the security and privacy safeguards required for storing and transmitting protected health information.

HIPAA is made up of a set of regulatory standards governing the security, privacy, and integrity of sensitive health care data, called protected health information (PHI). PHI is any demographic health care-related information that can be used to identify a patient. If vendors who service health care clients come into contact with PHI in any way, those vendors must be HIPAA compliant.
